Carlos Eduardo Batista é Doutor em Informática (Sistemas Hipermídia) pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, lotado no Centro de Informática. Membro fundador do Laboratório de Aplicações de Vídeo Digital (LAViD), onde trabalho na co-autoria da especificação do middleware Ginga. Desde 2008 é também pesquisador colaborador do Laboratório TeleMídia da PUC-Rio. Tem experiência em Ciências da computação tendo como linhas de pesquisa Hipermídia, Sistemas Multimídia Distribuídos, Arte e Tecnologia e TV Digital.
Bacharel em Ciências da Computação (2009), Mestre (2011) e Doutor em Arte e Tecnologia pelo PPG-Arte (2016): Programa de Pós Graduação em Artes pela Universidade de Brasília. Atualmente é professor adjunto do Instituto de Humanidades, Artes e Ciências Prof. Milton Santos da Universidade Federal da Bahia. Tem experiência na área da Arte Computacional e Inteligência Artificial, com ênfase no desenvolvimento de sistemas autopoiéticos capazes de gerar resultados emergentes. Hors-acadêmico é geek, músico, DJ, entusiasta de novas tecnologias.
Benoit Espinola is a new media artist and designer. He works in a zone between art, technology and science, in new media and beyond, which gives him the possibility to claim new areas and to investigate new ways of expression. He has a master in arts and new technologies from the Aix en Provence School of Art, Aix en Provence - France, and was a guest student at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID), Copenhagen - Denmark, for the Interaction Design Program. Most recently, he has been using mobile technologies and researching the relationship between technology, people and their physical environment. He focuses on the way territories are built and how this new technologies affect the relationship between the territories, people and their environment.
